| Colonia Encantada is spanish for Enchanted Colony or Village. The community was built in three phases from 1979 to 1981 by Geofrey Edmunds & Associates, Inc of Scottsdale. Mr Edmunds is a well known and respected builder. He has been given many awards for the excellence of his work and established a reputation for building the most exclusive, best designed and most successful projects in Scottsdale. Colonia Encantada fits perfectly into that category. | Recreational
facilities include an eighty person capacity clubhouse, with
fireplace, kitchen, exercise room, restrooms, showers, lighted
tennis courts, two swimming pools, one heated, a whirlpool spa,
covered ramada with tables, chairs and gas barbecue grill. The
community is protected by an entry gate that is manned 24/7. Our Association is governed by a five member board, which is elected by the homeowners at an annual meeting, and day-to-day management is the responsibility of a professional property manager who is employed by the Association. |
Many of our homeowners reside here during the winter months and spend the rest of the year in their home state, mostly Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska and Colorado. Our residents have numerous activities available to them during the winter, such as the Phoenix Open PGA golf tournament, Barrett Jackson collector's car auction, annual Arabian horse show, NFL football, NBA basketball, tennis tournaments, and ML baseball. Also, spring training for 15 ML baseball teams is conducted in the Phoenix area. Finally, there are hundreds of places to shop.and numerous art gallaries to enjoy. |
